Sneak Peek: An Inside Look At Passion Lilie’s Spring Collection

From Akris to Zimmerman, this season’s fashion shows tugged on a common thread with their spring collections. When describing their inspiration and the looks they designed, the great fashion houses echoed a longing for humanity in the post-pandemic era. Alexander McQueen’s creative director said  their spring collection “is about searching for humanity and human connection,” while Akris described their designs as “a re-beginning, an incentive to pause, a point in which everything can reappear or renew itself.”

Stella McCartney, Chanel and Raf Simmons – among countless others – also mentioned the passage of time in their fashion show notes. They talked about how their spring collections represent moments in time, the importance of pausing, and choosing who we become. The pandemic gave each of us the opportunity to explore our humanity in new ways, and evident in each spring collection is the designer’s response to these existential questions.

COLOR

When creating Passion Lilie’s spring collection, designer Katie Schmidt was inspired by the colors of her local surroundings in vibrant New Orleans and the outside world. You’ll find blues in sky hues, and oranges, lavenders, and aquas that reflect the Caribbean influences coloring the historic New Orleans French Quarter.

Our Shaila Pants and Skyline top, dress and men’s shirt are made in tranquil blues. Evoking the sensations of sea and sky, our spring collection is peaceful and pretty. Add these pieces to your closet for days when you need to feel a sense of serenity.

PRINTS

Giving the people what they want – more floral designs! Florals have been a big part of Passion Lilie designs from the very beginning. Few things celebrate the link between humanity and nature like a pretty floral design, and our spring collection is full of beautiful options. In recent years, Passion Lilie has focused more on geometric patterns, but we’ve heard the many requests for more florals this year and decided to give you both! 

Do you prefer retro floral prints or modern ones? More of a lavender gal or do earth tones suit you better? Whatever your preferences, Passion Lilie has you covered. If florals aren’t your thing, our spring collection includes plenty of stripes and geometric options as well. 

You can’t go wrong with a geometric print in a classic silhouette. Interesting colors and patterns bring a fresh take to timeless designs, giving you clothes that are functional, flattering, AND gorgeous. 

Ikat prints are another way Passion Lilie honors time and tradition through a centuries-old craft of dyeing and weaving. Due to the care and attention to detail required by the process, each ikat print is truly one of a kind. The result of this craft is fun, trendy fabrics that can be used for a wide variety of clothing for all bodies and preferences.
