This month, Passion Lilie is excited to collaborate with the organization Free the Slaves, whose goals and values align with our own. During the month of July, 10% of purchases at Passion Lilie that use the coupon code “FREETHESLAVES” will go to the capable hands of the Free the Slaves team to help combat human trafficking.
Like Free the Slaves, the Passion Lilie team believes that the anecdote to inequity comes through empowering communities at risk of being exploited to take control of their lives. Passion Lilie empowers our team of all women stitchers in Bangalore, India by providing a positive work environment, fair wages, free on the job training, and flexibility to pursue education and family time.
The brand is based out of New Orleans, where our designer Katie Schmidt designs and patterns each garment. Katie sends the carefully laid out designs to our team in India, who produce our unique clothing using traditional dying and weaving methods along with contemporary stitching. Passion Lilie’s signature aesthetic fuses ancient Indian printing methods and Western retro-inspired silhouettes. Each piece is one of a kind and embodies cultural collaboration.
Modern slavery is one of the most profitable criminal activities in the world. Reports on the number of human trafficking victims vary, but average to approximately 27 million. The statistics are frightening, but the Passion Lilie team is heartened by organizations such as Free the Slaves, and proud to take some part in resisting the industry through our insistence on fair exchange, and safe, sustainable working conditions.
We invite you to check out our website at passionlilie.com. Each purchase you make this month supports Free the Slaves, helps reverse the cycle of poverty, and is one step in the effort to create and foster sustainable societies. Come join the liberation movement, and look ravishing doing it. And don’t forget to use the code “FREETHESLAVES”.
10% of all retail sales for the month of July that use coupon code “FREETHESALVES” will be donated to the organization: Free The Slaves

Gather: Thoughtfully curated local and hand crafted goods.
San Francisco and New Orleans, are my two favorite cities in the United States, so when Daisy from Gather placed her first order with us, I was beyond thrilled.
Gather was on our list as a dream place to be featured, because they hold our same values. And just look at the photos- wouldn’t you want to shop there?!
Husband and wife, Christian and Daisy McClellan are the team behind Gather. Daisy is a jewelry designer and Christian's background is in providing legal advice to small businesses. Combining their unique experiences and skills, they are now living their dream of owning a brick and mortar store in the heart of San Francisco to sell their goods as well as the goods of other local and indie artists.
Gather provides San Francisco shoppers with a thoughtfully curated selection of unique local and hand-crafted clothing, home goods, and gifts. Gather fosters an engaging shopping experience that provides a meaningful connection to the featured craftsmen and women including hosting monthly events such as workshops, trunk shows, and seasonal gatherings.
