Living the American Dream
In the past 10 years, I have spent as much time on international soil as in the United States, and therefore, I celebrated many independence days outside of my homeland.
However, this 4th of July I am in New Orleans, and feeling particularly patriotic and lucky to call the United States my home.
This country, and especially this city (New Orleans) has given me the opportunity to live my dream – to not only be a designer, but to have a successful clothing line that supports women in other countries with a fair and living wage.
This 4th of July don’t forget that the American dream is still alive. So dream big and put in the sweat to make it happen.
All of the women out there understand, that is not easy for a female in the business world, and so I am especially grateful for the support from my community and my customers.
And don’t forget to check out our little 4th of July segment on WWL TV. Tiffany Napper of Flying Fox, and I give fashion tips on how to be fashionably patriotic.
